CS-Admission
CS-Admission offers a complete solution for the admission
department. All hospital activities are integrally supported. A great number of
functions are included in CS-Admission: patient identification, waiting list
registration, waiting list management, admission and discharge planning. Above
all, a great benefit of CS-Admission is the seamless exchange with ChipSoft (CS-OR),
the operating room management system, and CS-Preop,
the preoperative screening.
How does CS-Admission work?
CS-Admission offers the possibility of recording supplementary information
along with regular admission data. The care institution can determine which
information is relevant for inclusion. Just like every other ChipSoft system,
CS-Admission can be configured as desired. The user is rapidly guided through
the input screens, because no input fields are shown that are unnecessary for
the current situation. Registered patients are easy to retrieve using their
patient number, name and/or date of birth, or their admission number.
CS-Admission subsequently displays the most current data, to which information
can be added immediately. At the moment that a patient is added to the waiting
list, the admission history is displayed and additional data, such as expected
duration of admission, desired department and operation data, if any, can be
indicated. These data can be included in the admission and OR planning,
providing the user with an insight into the yet to be planned admissions from
the waiting list, so that optimum planning can be achieved.
Benefits
CS-Admission offers a complete overview of and insight into the waiting list
and admission registrations. Users can follow the complete process of waiting
list registration to discharge and adjust it, if necessary. Because the
admission waiting list is linked to the OR waiting list, users can work with an
integrated waiting list. This simplifies the often complex coordination of these
departments considerably and provides a better overview. Both departments can
plan in patients from the waiting list independently. It is also possible to opt
for joint planning of admission and OR. The major advantages of this are:
immediate insight into the planning of both departments and immediate
identification of conflicts. The cooperation between the modules CS-Admission
and CS-OR ensure that the planning can be tuned optimally to the working methods
of the care institution. In addition, CS-Admission facilitates, using a powerful
report generator, the retrieval of data on the basis of various selections. This
includes, for example the average waiting time, the number of planned admissions
over a certain period, or the progress of the care load in a particular period.
Most important features
The unique visual presentation makes it possible to ‘wander’, as it were,
through the screens, from department to department and room to room. All patient
and admission data are permanently available. CS-Admission supports the user
with planning advice based on the registered data. As soon as an admission is
definite, a letter of notification for the patient can be printed out
automatically. Through making various selections and classifications, overviews
can be generated that provide a continuous picture of the state of the waiting
lists. Even emergency admissions can be entered quickly and CS-Admission
provides a continuous up-to-date overview to be able to properly anticipate
transfers with regard to bed occupancy. An additional possibility is the
submission of data for the National and Medical Registration. The automatic
provision of waiting list supply is also possible.
