CS-Preop
CS-Preop is a clearly laid-out registration system for the support of
preoperative logistics. In addition to the registration of patients and the
recording of various screening results, CS-Preop offers the option of entering
appointments for different (follow-up) examinations with other specialists and
planning follow-up actions.
CS-Preop streamlines the provision of information for the nursing and medical
personnel. The underlying theme is to provide immediate insight into all data
surrounding the preoperative process. Users can request current patient related
data at any given moment, and see the phase the screening has reached.
How does CS-Preop work?
Data can be entered into CS-Preop from different angles simultaneously. The
CS-Preop central screen is subdivided into a number of phases: registration,
actions, consultations and admission/OR. During registration, the status of the
screening is indicated as well as the period of validity, the person requesting
and the person providing the treatment and the diagnosis. In addition, the
electronic screening form can be completed using a questionnaire. The
questionnaire option is a functionality unique to ChipSoft. The user is lead
cleverly through the input fields by the system’s questions, via the shortest
route. This delivers an enormous timesaving. Orders can be entered at actions.
At consultations it can be indicated when a patient could be planned in for
which consultation. The screening results can be an important condition for OR
planning. Each screening can be linked to an admission and an operation, which
means that the data can be clearly viewed at each stage. After approval of the
preoperative screening, the patient is released for the definitive planning.
Benefits
A major advantage of CS-Preop is the integration with the operating room
management system CS-OR. The system anticipates data
input from both sides. CS-Preop offers current screening related information, so
that this can be taken into account in the admission and OR planning. It is also
possible to indicate how detailed the screening data must be for the planning.
All registered data are immediately available for those involved. CS-Preop has
extensive facilities for generating overviews to offer patient screening optimum
support. For example, ‘to do’ lists can be displayed to the care providers
involved. Just like all other ChipSoft systems, CS-Preop is extremely
user-friendly. Simple search functions and clear graphic displays allow even
less experienced computer users to get to grips with it right from the start.
Important features
CS-Preop facilitates rapid access to screening data and makes patient
logistics transparent. CS-Preop can be integrated with other ChipSoft modules
(for example CS-OR, the planning system for operations) but also with third
party systems.
In addition to the possibility of requesting screening overviews for each
patient, general overviews regarding medication, consultations and actions can
be generated. Just as all ChipSoft’s modules, CS-Preop has a transparent
interface that enables each user or user group to configure settings as they
desire. CS-Preop is completely menu driven and is equipped with a
context-sensitive help function.
