CS-Sterile
CS-Sterile is a complete system for the central sterilization department. All
data regarding the nets, sets, instruments and disposables can be recorded here.
It offers users the maximum return for a minimum effort. CS-Sterile can be tuned
to the sterilization department’s exact wishes with the extensive configuration
module.
CS-Sterile keeps an overview of the nets available and those in use. The
store’s stock of individual instruments can be retrieved immediately. Together
with the ChipSoft (CS-OR) operating room management system, CS-Sterile provides
many extra benefits. This facilitates the proper planning of operations and the
necessary nets.
How does CS-Sterile work?
The different types of nets can be easily defined: the composition, the
sterilization method, the number of nets in circulation, the article numbers of
the different instruments and disposables, the price of the instruments and the
total price of the net. CS-Sterile supplies all the data necessary for
instrument management and stock control. In the case of instrument management,
it can be indicated which instruments have been sterilized, in which net they
are present and which, if any, are lost or in repair. On the basis of these
data, overviews can be made of the nets in circulation. Lists can also simply be
compiled of nets and sets that need to be retrieved, because the expiry date has
been exceeded. Minimum store stocks, article numbers and prices can be entered
in CS-Sterile, allowing CS-Sterile to provide accurate ordering advice. If
desired, they can be automatically sent to the Purchasing department through an
interface.
Benefits
CS-Sterile has the unique possibility of displaying photographs of the nets
or of the individual instruments directly on screen as examples. An excellent
method for limiting mistakes, when packing, to an absolute minimum. Above all,
this visual working method has shown to be quicker and easier. In the long term,
the accurate insight that CS-Sterile offers in the production process and the
rate of circulation of products leads to considerable savings in the purchasing
of instruments. With regards to stock control, there is always a current
overview, which means no one is faced with an unexpected situation.
Most important features
All information necessary for the instrument and stock control in the central
sterilization department can be found in CS-Sterile. Such as: the cost price of
a net, the number of nets and sets in circulation, where they can be found and
their sterilization expiry date, the number of instruments in stock and
information for packing. Overviews can be made using the overview generator. The
results of this can be displayed graphically, so that there is immediate clarity
about the state of affairs. The duration of individual steps in the circulation
cycle can be kept up-to-date with a barcode pen. If CS-Sterile is used in
combination with CS-OR, the cycle times are
automatically included in the OR planning module, as a result of which it can be
immediately checked during planning whether the necessary nets are available for
an operation.
